Adhesives and Sealants - Announced 07/09/04

We are in the industry outreach phase for this category. Following a public stakeholder meeting from 10-11:30 AM Pacific Time on July 26, we will begin development of the draft EPP specification. The documents listed below will be useful in guiding your input.

The following documents are available:

  • Adhesives and Sealants Outreach - The industry outreach phase is open and will close on July 26, 2004. Comments from manufacturers and associations are welcome. We are open to receiving comments at any time during the development phase. The significance of the July 26 date is that we cannot guarantee that we will be able to consider any comments received after that date in the first draft of the specification.
  • Information Resources - Adhesives and Sealants - A compendium of documents, references and links related to adhesives and sealants and environmentally preferable criteria.


Fiber Based Insulation - last updated 07/18/04

The insulation program is intended to apply to fiber-based insulation products, including fiberglass, mineral wool and cellulose used as batts, panel, blow-in or spray-on thermal and acoustic insulation intended for use in commercial and institutional building applications, and in particular for use in the construction and remodeling of educational facilities including K-12 schools and classrooms, community college and university facilities.

Public Meeting for Response to Comments. There will be a a public stakeholder meeting on July 26, 2004 to enable discussion of our Response to Comments on the first draft. Gypsum Wallboard - last updated 06/30/04

The gypsum wallboard program is intended to apply to gypsum wallboard which is designed for use in walls, ceilings or partitions, affords a surface suitable to receive decoration and is intended for use in commercial and institutional building applications, and in particular for use in the construction and remodeling of educational facilities including K-12 schools and classrooms, community college and university facilities

Composite Panels - last updated 06/30/04

The composite panel program is intended to apply to all composite panels including particleboard, dry process hardboard, medium density fiberboard (MDF), and agrifiber composite panel intended for use in commercial and institutional building applications, and in particular for use in the construction and remodeling of educational facilities including K-12 schools and classrooms, community college and university facilities. Specifically, this program applies to all products that contain composite panels in which composite panels comprise at least 85% by weight of the finished good and the remaining 15% by weight consists only of surface coatings.
