FAQ

How do I sumbit a comment on the website?
To comment, make sure you are logged in to this website. Click "Login" at the top right of the page and enter you’re your email address and password. If you have not previously registered and created a password, you may do so by clicking on the “Register” link at the top right of the page. Once logged in, click on the page on which you wish to comment. At the bottom of each product category page, you will see an area labeled “Post Comments”. Use this area to submit your comments for each section. Remember to click on the "Post" button after entering your comment. Once you submit a comment, it will be saved to that page and will be displayed as a posted comment, visible to all readers. NOTE: Anyone can view the comments online but only registered users will be able to submit comments.

What products will be included in the database?
Products that are deemed to conform with the criteria under development in this project can be included. Standards are being developed for an initial set of 21 product categories.

How do I submit my product for inclusion on the database?
Once the standards are finalized, and application form will be provided to guide your application. This form will include an address to which you can mail or electronically submit your application.

When can I submit my product information?
Immediately following the publication of each EPP Standard, product applications under that standard will be reviewed. Applications will be accepted for approximately 4 months following the publication of each EPP specification. Review of any applications received after this period will depend on available resources.

What will it cost to submit a product?
Products submitted during the initial window for each category will be reviewed under the California DSA contract at no cost to the applicant. Applicants will be reponsible for the cost of obtaining any necessary data, including test results. The State will determine the best process for screening new products, renewing existing products, and updating the standards at the end f the contract period.

What do I have to submit for my product to be considered?
The submittals will vary by product category, and will be described in the Standard and Application Form.
